To questions we hear often

A collection of the questions clients ask us most. Can't find what you're looking for? Call us, DM us, or send a message — we respond to every enquiry within the same working day.

General questions

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes — every new client receives a complimentary consultation before their first treatment. This allows us to understand your concerns, assess your skin, discuss medical history, and design a plan that is right for you. There is no obligation to proceed.

Are consultations free?

Yes, all consultations at Hanaé Plus are complimentary and entirely without obligation. We believe an honest conversation should always come before any commitment.

Can I book multiple treatments in one visit?

Yes — many of our treatments work beautifully together (LED with microneedling, Hydrafacial with dermaplaning). We'll advise at consultation what can safely be combined, and what should be spaced out.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least one week in advance for standard treatments, and 2–3 weeks for injectables or pre-event treatments. For weddings or major occasions, plan 4–6 weeks ahead.

Can I bring a friend or partner with me?

Of course — our reception is comfortable and private. We simply ask that they wait in reception during your treatment, and that all guests respect the clinic's quiet, considered atmosphere.

Wrinkle Treatments & Injectables

Will I look frozen or overdone?

Not in our practice. The Hanaé approach is one of restraint — we treat the underlying cause, never the surface impression. Our results are consistently described as natural, considered, and almost imperceptible to anyone who didn't know you'd had treatment.

How soon will I see my results?

Yes, all consultations at Hanaé Plus are complimentary and entirely withouAnti-wrinkle injections begin to work at 3–5 days, with full results at 14 days. Dermal fillers show immediate volume, with final settled results at 2 weeks. We invite you back for a complimentary two-week review.t obligation. We believe an honest conversation should always come before any commitment.

How long will the results last?

Anti-wrinkle injections last 3–4 months. Lip fillers last 6–9 months. Cheek, jaw, and chin fillers last 9–18 months. Tear trough fillers last 12–24 months. Individual metabolism plays a role.

What products do you use?

We use only premium, MHRA-approved products — Botox® and Azzalure® for anti-wrinkle treatments, and leading hyaluronic acid ranges (Juvederm®, Restylane®, Teosyal®) for volume and contour.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe injectables as a series of small pinches. We use topical numbing cream for lip, tear trough, and cheek work, and our HA fillers contain lidocaine for additional comfort.

Can dermal filler be dissolved?

Yes. All hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase if undesired. This safety advantage is the key reason we use HA-based filler exclusively.

Skin treatments

What's the difference between Hydrafacial and microneedling?

Hydrafacial works on the skin's surface — cleansing, exfoliating, and infusing serums for immediate radiance. Microneedling reaches deeper into the dermis, triggering collagen renewal for lasting structural change. Many clients have both — Hydrafacial monthly, microneedling 3–4 times a year.

How many sessions of microneedling do I need?

Is LED therapy really effective?

Yes — when used at medical-grade intensity, which we do. LED stimulates collagen, calms inflammation, and accelerates healing. Most effective as a course of 6–12 sessions, and as a finishing protocol after other treatments.

Will Cosmelan really lift my pigmentation?

Cosmelan is the gold standard in pigmentation correction — particularly effective for melasma, sun damage, and post-inflammatory marks. Results are dramatic but require strict aftercare and SPF discipline for 3–6 months. We discuss this thoroughly at consultation.

Can I have Hydrafacial when pregnant?

Yes — we use pregnancy-safe serums and skip certain active ingredients. Always let us know at booking so we can prepare appropriately.

Laser Hair Removal

Does laser hair removal really work permanently?

Yes — the term 'permanent hair reduction' is regulated and accurate. Most clients achieve 80–90% permanent reduction after a full course of 6–8 sessions. Some areas (face, neck) may need occasional top-up sessions for hormonal regrowth.

Is laser hair removal safe for darker skin?

Absolutely. We use Nd:YAG laser technology — the safest and most effective laser for Fitzpatrick types IV–VI. Every session is calibrated to your skin tone with no risk of pigmentation change.

How many sessions will I need?

Most areas require 6–8 sessions for optimal results. Hair grows in cycles, and the laser is most effective during the active growth phase — which means treating every 4–8 weeks.

Does laser hair removal work on white, grey, or red hair?

Unfortunately no. Laser targets melanin in the hair follicle, and without sufficient pigment, the laser has nothing to target. We will always tell you honestly at consultation.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes — shaving is fine and required (please shave 24 hours before each session). Avoid plucking, waxing, threading, or epilating, as these remove the follicle the laser needs.
